The ball went over the crossbar instead. 13 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Malin Pušķis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malin Pušķis in the 15th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chris Harrison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
