Aston Birra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 23rd minute of the game Chap Planes made a throw-in which Joan Saboya played forward. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joan Saboya in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. After 36 minutes Aston Birra's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Tomas Illescas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Aston Birra's Manuel Gibert did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 38th minute of play forced Aston Birra's goalkeeper Manuel Gibert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfas Spudulis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Joan Saboya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joan Saboya, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 70th minute, Patricio Costa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Manuel Gibert, passed just outside the right post. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joan Saboya in the 77th minute of play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfas Spudulis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Gibert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After 90 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. 93 minutes into the game, Chap Planes threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Patricio Costa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 94th minute, Alvaro Jaunti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Venezuela could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Aston Birra throughout the match.
