Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Chopina Wejherowo getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Maksymilian Domaradzki hit a great ball. Moises Fernandino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Moises Fernandino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute Zbyszek Zjawin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 48 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Zbyszek Zjawin came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moises Fernandino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marco Tamayo charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Tamayo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 51st match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. After 54 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Leguizamo. 58 minutes into the match, Chopina Wejherowo's goalkeeper Robert Domalik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. After a rather tough play, Chopina Wejherowo's Stefan Turak got a free kick in the 60th minute. Mateo Leguizamo, 61 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Abram Luque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Abram Luque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abram Luque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 66 minutes, Edgar Pincoski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chopina Wejherowo and the El Salvador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chopina Wejherowo's Edgar Pincoski got a free kick in the 66th minute. Robert Domalik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moises Fernandino went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Robert Domalik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Joshua Curbelo kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Andrzejewski came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iwo Wolicki struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Ricardo Zorita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chopina Wejherowo. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Pincoski in the 90th minute of the match. Chants of El Salvador echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Chopina Wejherowo had held the ball for most of the match.
