With a left leg Marco Testaferrata Viani saved SOAD from getting behind. In the 7th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jakub Hendrich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SOAD were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Martin Veleta took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Jakub Hendrich got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 15th minute, Petter Dahlqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, SOAD's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Marco Testaferrata Viani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Marco Testaferrata Viani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Jakub Hendrich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Jakub Hendrich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Testaferrata Viani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jakub Hendrich. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jakub Hendrich stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SOAD's goalkeeper Marco Testaferrata Viani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Testaferrata Viani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Jakub Hendrich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. SOAD made a substitution. Agne Lundkvist replaced Jakub Hendrich. SOAD's Michal Urbaník was substituted for Martin Veleta. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veronica Pipa in the 88th minute of play. After 94 minutes of play, SOAD's Agne Lundkvist made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. SOAD were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
