Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Xurdin Pena made the kick off and thus started the match. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Everett Gerber scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-0. In the 7th match minute, Melandru de Cenero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joachim Incera to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Fabio Cienfuegos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Fabio Cienfuegos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everett Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Andrea Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Melandru de Cenero got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everett Gerber in the 20th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xurdin Pena in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Saelices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrea Perez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Joachim Incera fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Melandru de Cenero's protests and gave Joachim Incera a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 33rd minute of play forced Melandru de Cenero's goalkeeper Andrea Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Cienfuegos in the 43rd minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Fabio Cienfuegos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Fabio Cienfuegos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Melandru de Cenero's Andrea Perez got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. Andrea Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Xurdin Pena came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70thth minute of the game Xurdin Pena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Xurdin Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xurdin Pena went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Andrea Perez in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xurdin Pena's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Xurdin Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Melandru de Cenero were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ecuador for a fine match.
