Musa Bardakçı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. In the 11th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuan Lei Jing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Luz Tejedor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yuan Lei Jing read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. Joaquin Prats made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Freestylers's Yuan Lei Jing managed to reach the ball for a save. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. After 33 minutes, Anthony Alvarado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peru and the Freestylers players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 36th minute of play forced Freestylers's goalkeeper Yuan Lei Jing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. German Evarado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

52 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when German Evarado came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by German Evarado in the 52nd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Joaquin Satordi fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Freestylers's protests and gave Joaquin Satordi a yellow card for diving instead. Björn Lachenicht's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Björn Lachenicht helped the player get up and apologised. Freestylers's Mathias Abstreiter was substituted for Musa Bardakçı. Freestylers's Leo Pietro was substituted for Matthias Büssinger. Björn Lachenicht hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from German Evarado went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Luz Tejedor came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luz Tejedor couldn't finish the play. Freestylers's Andreas Arendt was substituted for German Evarado. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Arendt in the 86th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freestylers's Leo Pietro got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Abstreiter in the 95th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Freestylers fans cheered their team off the field, for while Peru had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
