Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Edmundo Espiga got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Club Brugge's zone, Moises Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arne Stuycken came out of the goal and Moises Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 played minutes Luca Espinar shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Club Brugge's Arne Stuycken to catch but Luca Espinar was lucky. It became 1-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronny Niewens during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Honduras a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edmundo Espiga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Club Brugge's Arne Stuycken. 1-2. The supporters of Honduras booed when Club Brugge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathis Grootaers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arne Stuycken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 31st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arne Stuycken saved Club Brugge from getting behind. Moises Tafalla scored 1-4 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arne Stuycken, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a free kick in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hamdi Abdul Qadir made a kick off. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yanick De Winter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Brugge's goalie prevented a goal. Goffrey Bastin hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Stuycken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamdi Abdul Qadir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arne Stuycken came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Honduras's Edmundo Espiga. But to his dismay, Edmundo Espiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Edmundo Espiga in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arne Stuycken, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 80th minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Arne Stuycken didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. The throw-in from Mathis Grootaers in the 88th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. The supporters of Honduras booed when Club Brugge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bjorn Gyselinx didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 91st minute of play forced Club Brugge's goalkeeper Arne Stuycken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 played minutes Club Brugge got a freekick which was hit by Bjorn Gyselinx. The audience cheered loudly when Luca Espinar's long shot in the 93rd minute became 1-6 when the ball went to the left of and passed Arne Stuycken. Edmundo Espiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arne Stuycken read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Honduras played a much better game than Club Brugge and deserved their victory. The Club Brugge players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
