An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Abad in the 18th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when 董兴飞 got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 47 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allen Quigley in the 95th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a 深圳银湖俱乐部's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 任森昆 in the 98th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. 深圳银湖俱乐部 had won after a very even match.
