After a rather tough play, CD Municipal's Aureliano Buendia got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 27th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Forsyth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 35th minute. 40 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Mcdonald came free, but George Forsyth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Forsyth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 41st minute of play. Enrique Cassaretto kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but George Forsyth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Evtim Kúrdzhev hit a great ball. CD Municipal's Tulio Andinyach was substituted for Evtim Kúrdzhev. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with George Forsyth in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, CD Municipal's George Forsyth got control of the ball when Cassius Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Cassius Byrne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. George Forsyth was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. 80 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Zach Harrison came free, but George Forsyth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enrique Cassaretto struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Municipal. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. The supporters of USA booed when CD Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yunus Mahşer didn't get a good kick on the ball. George Forsyth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam Campbell in the 90th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. CD Municipal were victorious despite being under pressure from USA for much of the match.
