After 7 minutes, Ilan Velasco made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilan Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Baclet in the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Sam Baclet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sam Baclet in the 15th minute of play. When Eliseo Noboa fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Eliseo Noboa a yellow card for diving instead. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. GAS MONKEY's Ilan Velasco got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute of the match Lautaro Puig sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antoine Mano skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute, Roland Bordes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antoine Mano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 28th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Moruga during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of GAS MONKEY booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 36 in the game by Axel Tasis from a close distance when the talented Antoine Mano managed to make a qualified save. GAS MONKEY's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Baclet in the 40th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Antoine Mano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes GAS MONKEY got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Gaudillère. Axel Tasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. GAS MONKEY's Antoine Mano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Puig in the 52nd minute of play. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raoul Bienaimé. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Tasis in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antoine Mano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Antoine Mano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the game, Raoul Bienaimé cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 72 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Sam Baclet came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in GAS MONKEY's zone, Axel Tasis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antoine Mano came out of the goal and Axel Tasis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sam Baclet in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Alexander Carballo charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Carballo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd minute, Alexander Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
