Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Dário Pinho made a huge save. The supporters of Ecuador booed when SHIZUOKA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Du Wei Hui didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, SHIZUOKA FC's goalkeeper Dário Pinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Dário Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Lucio Baldovino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Dário Pinho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Dário Pinho made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonello Roccuzzo in the 36th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro scored 3-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dário Pinho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 43 minutes into the match, Antonello Roccuzzo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonello Roccuzzo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonello Roccuzzo to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Rogelio Policarpio made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, SHIZUOKA FC's Antonello Roccuzzo got a free kick in the 59th minute. Dário Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Guaberto Lugo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 67 played minutes SHIZUOKA FC got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Lugo. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Rogelio Policarpio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 74 played minutes SHIZUOKA FC got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Hever. 76 minutes into the match, SHIZUOKA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Dário Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonello Roccuzzo struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SHIZUOKA FC. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Policarpio came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Rogelio Policarpio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Rogelio Policarpio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Antonello Roccuzzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Antonello Roccuzzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
