Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benedicto Eladio ran over to the corner to take the kick. It became 1-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Tor Echegoyen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 28th minute of play forced Momentum FC's goalkeeper Tor Echegoyen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Momentum FC's goalkeeper Tor Echegoyen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Momentum FC's Tor Echegoyen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 52nd minute of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Vincent Abubakar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. 94 minutes into the match, Vincent Abubakar notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
