Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Xande Cavani capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Xande Cavani really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barbaros Bozbey having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Guaberto Arce got a free kick in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xande Cavani to make the kick off. With a little luck, VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Barbaros Bozbey got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 59 minutes, Primitivo Andino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the VERDOLAGA CITY FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of VERDOLAGA CITY FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xande Cavani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Barbaros Bozbey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 63rd minute. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Barbaros Bozbey made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Felix Montenegro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Barbaros Bozbey. That made the score 2-1 in the 67 minute of play. With a little luck, VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Barbaros Bozbey got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 76 played minutes VERDOLAGA CITY FC got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Ecija. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. VERDOLAGA CITY FC made a substitution. Victor Hugo Aristizábal replaced Xande Cavani. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 82nd minute. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Cristian Sancho took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Barbaros Bozbey to make any attempt to save it. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Barbaros Bozbey threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Barbaros Bozbey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 92nd minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Hugo Aristizábal in the 94th minute of play. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing VERDOLAGA CITY FC to leave the ground with a draw.
