In the 20th minute, Sebastian Villa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Aysouraguán booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Villa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abi Russo in the 64th minute of play. Jaizki Valverde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aysouraguán's Jaizki Valverde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Aysouraguán from getting a goal against them. A sloppy throw-in by Feliberto Abellan in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. In the 93rdth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aysouraguán's Jaizki Valverde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Aysouraguán's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaizki Valverde came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Aysouraguán had won after a very even match.
