With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florentino Boni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maximiliano Peralta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Zé Roberto Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Michael Guisla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Boni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Argentina's Maximiliano Peralta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Roberto Teixeira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Sagese in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Roberto Teixeira saved Playa Malvín from getting behind. Argentina's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
