Sigvard Langes short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hugo Bergqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Montenegro in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Bergqvist saved Skånes stolthet! from getting behind. When Ecuador's Felix Montenegro in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Skånes stolthet!'s goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of play forced Skånes stolthet!'s goalkeeper Hugo Bergqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Bergqvist having to interfere. Skånes stolthet!'s Hugo Bergqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of play forced Skånes stolthet!'s goalkeeper Hugo Bergqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Skånes stolthet!! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

51 minutes into the match, Skånes stolthet!'s goalkeeper Hugo Bergqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Alin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Hugo Bergqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Hugo Bergqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Hugo Bergqvist in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Skånes stolthet!'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Skånes stolthet!'s Hugo Bergqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 70th minute of play. Robin Alin hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Accam in the 86th minute of play. David Accam blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
