Julio Vera was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Xande Cavani capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Xande Cavani really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guaberto Arce during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Ecija in the 29th minute of play. Barbaros Bozbey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after VERDOLAGA CITY FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Barbaros Bozbey managed to reach the ball for a save. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barbaros Bozbey having to interfere. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Barbaros Bozbey having to make a save. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xande Cavani to make the kick off. Barbaros Bozbey came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after VERDOLAGA CITY FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led to Ecuador's Agustín Saelices getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 66th minute, Eusebio Ecija hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, VERDOLAGA CITY FC's goalkeeper Barbaros Bozbey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xande Cavani went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot.
