Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Abello scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 11th minute of the game Rojelio Abalos made a throw-in which Mario Abad played forward. After 13 minutes of play, Nacional Potosí's Wyatt Jeffers made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Odol Abancens came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nacional Potosí's Jeremy Blomme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 23rd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wyatt Jeffers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Odol Abancens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Lionel Beets blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. 33 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Wyatt Jeffers came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Nacional Potosí's goalkeeper Jeremy Blomme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Odol Abancens in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute, Tomas Abello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 42 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. Odol Abancens took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Abello, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Wyatt Jeffers made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Tomas Abello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nacional Potosí's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Abello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wyatt Jeffers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odol Abancens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wyatt Jeffers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wyatt Jeffers in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Nacional Potosí's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremy Blomme came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Abello received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Abello slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 72nd minute. Nacional Potosí made a substitution. Rogelio Abel replaced Rojelio Abalos. In the 80th minute, Mario Abad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nacional Potosí's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
