Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Honduras's Edmundo Espiga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lautaro Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Van Mechelen's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. 6 minutes into the match, Moises Tafalla notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of YR Mechelen's Stanny Van Wontergem. Stanny Van Wontergem was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 10 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Leo Van Mechelen. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Van Mechelen went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 18th minute, Christian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Van Mechelen came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. YR Mechelen were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Honduras's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adolphe De Maerschalckx took the corner. The corner ended in Adolphe De Maerschalckx almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro did a great save. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andries Mangelschot, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Joery Van Mechelen in the 30 minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Sancho came free, but Stanny Van Wontergem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Van Mechelen kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Milagros Cabal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adolphe De Maerschalckx's shot from long distance in the 43rd minute was not bad at all, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. YR Mechelen's Miguel Van Mechelen got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Van Mechelen to make the kick off. Stanny Van Wontergem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alan Wirinckx kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Andries Mangelschot hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Edmundo Espiga in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stanny Van Wontergem, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 65thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but YR Mechelen's Stanny Van Wontergem was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stanny Van Wontergem saved YR Mechelen from getting behind. Milagros Cabal kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Van Mechelen came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Joery Van Mechelen fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored YR Mechelen's protests and gave Joery Van Mechelen a yellow card for diving instead. 77 minutes into the game, one of YR Mechelen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 79 minutes, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Stanny Van Wontergem. In the 81st match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentín Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute of the match Honduras got a corner. YR Mechelen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmundo Espiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Edmundo Espiga almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but YR Mechelen's Stanny Van Wontergem did a great save. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 93rd minute, Miguel Van Mechelen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Luca Espinar kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute Andries Mangelschot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than YR Mechelen throughout the match.
