The shot was a little too simple and Tonio Bergada could save by the left post. With a little luck, Begu Ganjang's Tonio Bergada got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tonio Bergada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tonio Bergada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Tonio Bergada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anak Selby in the 35th minute of play. Milagros Fraga made in the 38th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Begu Ganjang's Sebastian Cipău. A collision led to Begu Ganjang getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Fotis Perivolakos hit a great ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anak Selby in the 42nd minute of the match. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tonio Bergada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. Milagros Fraga made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Begu Ganjang's Tonio Bergada managed to reach the ball for a save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Peru's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
