Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Illescas made the kick off and thus started the match. Roland Varga might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roland Varga ran back to his position shaking his head. 19 minutes into the match, Szolnoki MÁV's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Mátyás Lisztes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roland Varga hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emesto Muñagorri in the 38th minute of the match. The supporters of Szolnoki MÁV booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. András Herczegh hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After the first half Szolnoki MÁV were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roland Varga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Emesto Muñagorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas, 54 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The supporters of Szolnoki MÁV booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. András Herczegh kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 62 played minutes Szolnoki MÁV got a freekick which was hit by András Herczegh. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mátyás Lisztes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Szolnoki MÁV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mátyás Lisztes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Salvador Gisbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mátyás Lisztes having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emesto Muñagorri in the 77th minute of play. Emesto Muñagorri had several of the Venezuela's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 80 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Jonathan Ferrant as he didn't even see the shot coming. Emesto Muñagorri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them.
