When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 9th minute. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Okaner Baytugay quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Okaner Baytugay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 14th minute of play forced Maraşkent FK's goalkeeper Okaner Baytugay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Okaner Baytugay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Maraşkent FK's Haşim Fırıncı got a free kick in the 19th minute. Mutlu Tuncaral made in the 20th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Casper Forssell immediately put the ball in play. Okaner Baytugay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Maraşkent FK getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Mücahit Sehhar hit a great ball. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Okaner Baytugay. Okaner Baytugay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After having played for 32 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casper Forssell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Okaner Baytugay having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Okaner Baytugay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Halim Uçman in the 47th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Maraşkent FK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Joel Gaona kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Okaner Baytugay. That made the score 0-3 in the 53 minute of play. In the 58th minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Okaner Baytugay was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After having played for 63 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Cícero de Lima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maraşkent FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Okaner Baytugay having to interfere. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by İsmail Hakkı Ünalp during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 82 played minutes Maraşkent FK got a freekick which was hit by İsmail Hakkı Ünalp. In the 84th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tansel Akdoğan in the 85th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Halim Uçman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Mutlu Tuncaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Okaner Baytugay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mehmet Anıl Yavuzcan lost his temper 96 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 97th minute, Mehmet Anıl Yavuzcan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Mexico players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
