The corner ended in Edmundo Espiga almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kovlands IF's Leonard Gregersen did a great save. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Lilleeng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th match minute, Kovlands IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dag Anderssen to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th match minute, Kovlands IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Jenssen to maneuver through the defense. Leonard Gregersen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 29th minute of the match. With his leg Leonard Gregersen managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 47th minute, Hans Lilleeng left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kovlands IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. Hans Lilleeng took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 59th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Cabal to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hans Lilleeng. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonard Gregersen was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Noah Tømmervik made in the 96th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Luca Espinar. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kovlands IF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
