Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Cabbar Müfit made a throw-in in the 4th minute of the game. Sikstas Ferdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of the match. If Ray Ruth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 19th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sikstas Ferdi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cabbar Müfit, made in the 27th minute of the game. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 34th minute. If Eze Ceballos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ray Ruth in the 42nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Mina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sikstas Ferdi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Peru booed when Ruzgar Gibi Geçti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariusz Biskupiak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruzgar Gibi Geçti's Sikstas Ferdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ray Ruth made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Ray Ruth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. In the 56th minute of the match Ruzgar Gibi Geçti got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rómeó Julia ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ruzgar Gibi Geçti's Rómeó Julia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolando Noboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 59th minute, Ray Ruth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ruzgar Gibi Geçti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 63 minutes into the match, Ruzgar Gibi Geçti's Ray Ruth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ray Ruth, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sikstas Ferdi was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. 75 minutes into the match, Ruzgar Gibi Geçti's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Sikstas Ferdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ruzgar Gibi Geçti getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Zalán Dalan hit a great ball. The Ruzgar Gibi Geçti fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
