Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ulf Olofsson kicked off to start the match. Benjamin Blixt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 6th minute of play. Francisco Seco scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamin Blixt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute Uruguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Cazalla went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Uruguay's Camilo Franco getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Benjamin Blixt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Blixt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano, in the 27th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. When Ulf Olofsson came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the KD Stiger fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulf Olofsson couldn't finish the play. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Blixt having to interfere. Ulf Olofsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. Arvin Falck's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Blixt had in the 48thth minute some difficulties stopping Jaime Cazalla's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by KD Stiger's Ulf Olofsson. But to his dismay, Ulf Olofsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Benjamin Blixt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 58th minute. In the 60th match minute, KD Stiger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ted Nyman to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 64 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Escribano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Olofsson in the 65th minute of play. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Ulf Olofsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. Bruno Beldad kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Georg Danielsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Benjamin Blixt in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute, Ernst Asmundsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. When Ted Nyman fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KD Stiger's protests and gave Ted Nyman a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to KD Stiger getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ted Nyman hit a great ball. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. Georg Danielsson made a great header on KD Stiger's corner, it was just that Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso managed to reach the ball for a save. Francisco Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Blixt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play.
