Felix Montes made in the 10th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Felix Montenegro however managed to control. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, Urbano Cevallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 21 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bibiano Barbosa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Bibiano Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play. Bibiano Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 43rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bibiano Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toti Iglesias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Bibiano Barbosa in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. After having played for 92 minutes, Servando Ariste managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 『盛世メ名門』CON-E-CO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Servando Ariste was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than 『盛世メ名門』CON-E-CO throughout the match.
