Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmar Eger in the 33rd minute of the match. Quebra Ossos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isidoro Sarmiento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 40 minutes into the game, Isidoro Sarmiento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Téo Fonseca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute, João Augusto Bittencourt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcos Cotilla. The goal made the score 1-4. After having played for 48 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. Téo Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 58th minute. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Téo Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Téo Fonseca was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Berganza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 64 minute of play. Téo Fonseca was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Isidoro Sarmiento capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Isidoro Sarmiento really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. Isidoro Sarmiento took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Téo Fonseca. Téo Fonseca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-8. After 76 played minutes Quebra Ossos FC got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Cardoso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 77th minute of play forced Quebra Ossos FC's goalkeeper Téo Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Panama booed when Quebra Ossos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Corrêa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisinho Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Tomas Berganza succeeded in the game's 83rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-10. Panama's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
