Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Emre Kurtuluş didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. 6 minutes into the match, KARŞIYAKA's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Emre Kurtuluş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shen Xun in the 9th minute of play. After 15 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emre Kurtuluş was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emre Kurtuluş saved KARŞIYAKA from getting behind. Onur Övünç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Shen Xun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Furkan Aktan in the 29th minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shen Xun in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when KARŞIYAKA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gencay Türker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costa Rica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Tasis in the 39th minute. The corner led Costa Rica's Axel Tasis to fire away a dangerous shot which Emre Kurtuluş despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Shen Xun came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emre Kurtuluş was relentless in the 48th minute of the game.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shen Xun in the 52nd minute of play. 57 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when KARŞIYAKA's Shen Xun fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emre Kurtuluş having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Eşref Tülün hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 played minutes, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emre Kurtuluş came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Costa Rica reached it. Axel Tasis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Emre Kurtuluş skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 66 minutes, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Noboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute Shen Xun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind KARŞIYAKA's goalkeeper Emre Kurtuluş, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. Emre Kurtuluş stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Tasis's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. The supporters of KARŞIYAKA booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shen Xun in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shen Xun in the 93rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The KARŞIYAKA manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Costa Rica to win.
