Howling Dawn U18's Enzo Shantala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of play. Lun Luna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Enzo Shantala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Lun Luna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Howling Dawn U18's supporters rose to their feet, but Lun Luna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lun Luna in the 37th minute of play. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Aristides Egoitz fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Howling Dawn U18's protests and gave Aristides Egoitz a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Howling Dawn U18 got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Egoitz.

Enzo Shantala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 63rd minute, Astor Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 66 minutes of play, Howling Dawn U18's Lun Luna made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Ecuador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Howling Dawn U18:s goal. Ecuador:s Julio Vera showed great skill when he stopped Astor Barbosa:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Barbosa in the 89th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Astor Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Baldomiro Jerrald got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 98th minute. The score was now 0-2. Although Ecuador had been in control for most of the match, Howling Dawn U18 still came away with the win.
