Rinto Kalla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After a rather tough play, Lake Wales FC's Jarvis Whitney got a free kick in the 19th minute. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danial Salter, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Luca Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 30th minute of play forced Lake Wales FC's goalkeeper Rinto Kalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Ian Chung sent off a good shot on target. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Rinto Kalla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Rinto Kalla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ian Chung stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Garth Wray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. In the 58th minute Ian Chung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Zorita made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Lake Wales FC's Rinto Kalla managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the Lake Wales FC defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rinto Kalla. The Lake Wales FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rinto Kalla should have stopped the shot. 72 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Danial Salter came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danial Salter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lake Wales FC.
