Thiago Pliego was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anselm Kempe showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wladimir Jungwirth in the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, Anselm Kempe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thiago Pliego. Anselm Kempe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After some careless play in the Werderaner 04 Volkssport defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Romero. The Werderaner 04 Volkssport fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Romero should have stopped the shot. In the 23rd minute, Mariano Lacasa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nestor Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Nestor Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Figueroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Chile's Gerardo Pozo got a free kick in the 27th minute. The supporters of Chile booed when Werderaner 04 Volkssport was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basil Lübeck didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 30th minute of play forced Werderaner 04 Volkssport's goalkeeper Nestor Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Wladimir Jungwirth sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nestor Romero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 39th match minute, Werderaner 04 Volkssport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuseppe Marotzke to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wladimir Jungwirth in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. Mariano Lacasa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Nestor Romero skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Orlando Casaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Romero having to interfere. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wladimir Jungwirth, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Steven Grund kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Werderaner 04 Volkssport's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mariano Lacasa 58 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Nestor Romero made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute, Wladimir Jungwirth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After 68 played minutes Werderaner 04 Volkssport got a freekick which was hit by Benno Schellhase. 75 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Keith Harms came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nestor Romero having to make a save. In the 78th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chile's Xavier Figueroa got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Werderaner 04 Volkssport made a substitution. Loy Oelbeck replaced Keith Harms. Orlando Casaus kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Nestor Romero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute, Mariano Lacasa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3.
