The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şafak Açıkalın in the 5th minute of the match. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kuzey Ustam, made in the 6th minute of the game. In the 10thth minute of the game Yu Xi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fazlı Nasrullah made in the 15th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Atabey Ökten immediately put the ball in play. After some careless play in the H E P T A N FC defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arif Bilge Tokyürek. The H E P T A N FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arif Bilge Tokyürek should have stopped the shot. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yu Xi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 31st minute. Kuzey Ustam's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kuzey Ustam helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to H E P T A N FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Kuzey Ustam hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Şafak Açıkalın fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Şafak Açıkalın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. H E P T A N FC's Arif Bilge Tokyürek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save H E P T A N FC from getting a goal against them. Roberto Ocampo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Şafak Açıkalın managed to get in a good position for a shot. H E P T A N FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Şafak Açıkalın was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Şafak Açıkalın struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for H E P T A N FC. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yu Xi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arif Bilge Tokyürek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Roberto Ocampo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Bilge Tokyürek having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yu Xi in the 69th minute of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when H E P T A N FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yu Xi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Roberto Ocampo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 80 minutes into the match, H E P T A N FC's Murat Akpınar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yu Xi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yu Xi might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yu Xi ran back to his position shaking his head. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yu Xi in the 87th minute of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arif Bilge Tokyürek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arif Bilge Tokyürek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Ocampo, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 93rd play minute Tomas Illescas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arif Bilge Tokyürek. 1-2. The H E P T A N FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Venezuela's performance. The match ended with a win for Venezuela.
