After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 31st minute. Benito Sanz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 35th minute, took the ball on the long shot from 张林梁. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when 肖卫骋 sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 4-0 when A.J. 赵云 sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. With a couple of smart ball manuevers A.J. 赵云 in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. A.J. 赵云 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. After 47 minutes, A.J. 赵云 made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. A.J. 赵云 was the one to do the kick off.
