If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franciszek Marek. Franciszek Marek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filippo Iovine, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The supporters of Mexico booed when ŁapszanskiKlubSportowy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermengol Velosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franciszek Marek having to interfere. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zisis Peratos's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Franciszek Marek. ŁapszanskiKlubSportowy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zisis Peratos in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franciszek Marek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zisis Peratos in the 26th minute of play. Franciszek Marek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 30th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kiko Paulista in the 31st minute. Franciszek Marek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 36 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franciszek Marek came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Facundo Cadaval. But to his dismay, Facundo Cadaval quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 42nd minute, Alberto Tafalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franciszek Marek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Filippo Iovine kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-4 in the 47 minute of play. After the first half Mexico were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Franciszek Marek was a little too slow when Facundo Cadaval got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 1-5. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Franciszek Marek having to make a save. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zisis Peratos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Alberto Tafalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Franciszek Marek. That made the score 1-6 after 60 minutes of play. Franciszek Marek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 62nd minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filippo Iovine in the 67th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zisis Peratos, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 76th minute Kiko Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franciszek Marek didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 79th minute, which inside left pole to 2-7. The attack was good, but when Alberto Tafalla in the 86th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 88th minute, Zisis Peratos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ŁapszanskiKlubSportowy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-7. Franciszek Marek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafalla went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-8 was the resulting score. In the 96th minute, Kiko Paulista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ŁapszanskiKlubSportowy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-8. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
