The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 5 minutes into the game, Guillermo Mariano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ψ Futbol Rojo Ψ the free kick. After 6 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. After 7 played minutes Ψ Futbol Rojo Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Goi. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerônimo Martins got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerônimo Martins in the 15th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ψ Futbol Rojo Ψ's Gonzalo Goi got a free kick in the 21st minute. A collision led to Ψ Futbol Rojo Ψ getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Ben Gant hit a great ball. Jerônimo Martins in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ψ Futbol Rojo Ψ reached it. In the 42nd minute, Ψ Futbol Rojo Ψ's Jerônimo Martins ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 45 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. In the 47th minute of the match Rogelio Torres shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerônimo Martins got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Jerônimo Martins took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Ψ Futbol Rojo Ψ's Ambrosio Ovando got a free kick in the 59th minute. Perfecto Mongis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 59th minute. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 63rd minute. It was beautiful to see Ψ Futbol Rojo Ψ's Gaudencio Joseph in action when he in the 85th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Gonzalo Goi's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzalo Goi helped the player get up and apologised. Gonzalo Goi hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Ψ Futbol Rojo Ψ's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
