In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Só de Fula F.C.'s goalkeeper Nilton Quirino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Matheus Linares scored 2-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Enio Custódio hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matheus Linares in the 82nd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Só de Fula F.C.'s Carlos Augusto Almeida was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benito Sanz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 86thth minute of the game Matheus Linares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Só de Fula F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
