Jairo Guifre in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Thiago Pliego, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Jairo Guifre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Avram Ştef in the 39th minute. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roch Puch having to make a save. Tolek Badanowski made in the 94th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jairo Guifre immediately put the ball in play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chile eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
