Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hipolito Tolino kicked off to start the match. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Havier in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 minutes, Matthew Garrido mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the Ongamira players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Matthew Garrido hit a great ball. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Ganix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Tolino in the 16th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Ganix came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gerardo Gabon was slow to take the kick. During this time Ongamira's players had a chance to rest. Ovidio Cutberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 57th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Ongamira's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Ovidio Cutberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Panama booed when Ongamira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Ganix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Formerio took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 92nd minute, Hector Ganix fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The Ongamira supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ongamira would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
