Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandre Tepedino to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Luis Andino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liu Feng Guang in the 76th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Albino Maiorga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 78th minute of play. Cristian Sancho helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 90th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Deportivo Pomelo Nenene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Naike didn't get a good kick on the ball.
