Racing Club's Cornelio Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Secada in the 95th minute of play. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Racing Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kevin Mastache took the corner. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Ignacio Mastache put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cornelio Cordearo. Racing Club's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
