Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lokman Oğuzbay, made in the 13th minute of the game. Gavino Raymundo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After the first half Peru were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 87th minute, Eliseo Mina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. After a rather tough play, Peru's Emmanuel Reyes got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The corner led ≮王者归来≯ 致青春【KICKER】's 卓明义 to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 卓明义 in the 98th minute of play. After 99 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was 鲁德响 who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Peru's goalie and right to 谢剑轩. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Peru's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The ≮王者归来≯ 致青春【KICKER】 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
