Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Fredrik de Nooter put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dante Lacasa. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Lekumberri Labarra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Fredrik de Nooter sped through Mexico's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. Antto Willman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lekumberri Labarra in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Piorno Zamora saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Piorno Zamora made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Piorno Zamora threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luca Zorita, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 38 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik de Nooter came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Pampas Team's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Piorno Zamora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piorno Zamora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Antto Willman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antto Willman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. After 50 played minutes Pampas Team got a freekick which was hit by Lekumberri Labarra. Lekumberri Labarra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. 56 minutes into the match, Pampas Team's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Piorno Zamora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Pampas Team fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Pampas Team's Lekumberri Labarra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Piorno Zamora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik de Nooter came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lekumberri Labarra. Piorno Zamora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 66th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Pampas Team's Piorno Zamora. Piorno Zamora was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pampas Team's Feliz Lozano was substituted for Antto Willman. Pampas Team made a substitution. Ximun Alonso replaced Isaac Echavarri. Piorno Zamora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliz Lozano, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Piorno Zamora. Pampas Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. The Pampas Team supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pampas Team would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
