Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Emilian Tărău started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th match minute, FC POLI TIMISOARA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandru Maghear to maneuver through the defense. Cazimir Marincean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Luque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Emilian Tărău sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th match minute, FC POLI TIMISOARA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Stelea to maneuver through the defense. Cazimir Marincean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Fernandino in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Irinel Breazu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ricardo Zorita. Irinel Breazu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 25 minutes of play, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cazimir Marincean was left in no man's land by his defense there! Moises Fernandino struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Cazimir Marincean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. Moises Fernandino scored 1-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cazimir Marincean, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mateo Leguizamo hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Cazimir Marincean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Tamayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Emilian Tărău struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Ricardo Zorita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC POLI TIMISOARA. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Ricardo Zorita successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 40th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abram Luque to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Alexandru Maghear fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After the first half El Salvador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, El Salvador's Abram Luque dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Irinel Breazu scored 2-3 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 64 minutes, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Fernandino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th match minute, FC POLI TIMISOARA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nichifor Benga to maneuver through the defense. Abram Luque could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Cazimir Marincean made a huge save. Emilian Tărău fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. When Nichifor Benga fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC POLI TIMISOARA's protests and gave Nichifor Benga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, one of FC POLI TIMISOARA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC POLI TIMISOARA. Abram Luque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilian Tărău's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. With a little luck, FC POLI TIMISOARA's Cazimir Marincean got control of the ball when Moises Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of El Salvador booed when FC POLI TIMISOARA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irinel Breazu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. El Salvador had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
