Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aloisio Segura saved Milan Chupao from getting behind. In the 7th minute, Lautaro Puig left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 13th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Txema Villa in the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Milan Chupao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baraxil Solo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseo Noboa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aloisio Segura having to make a save. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joan Serrano in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Dolfo Candamil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 27th minute. After 33 minutes, Nahia Babia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Milan Chupao and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nahia Babia kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Txema Villa in the 37th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aloisio Segura made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Axel Tasis sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Txema Villa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Txema Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Txema Villa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Milan Chupao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Unax Verdeja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Aloisio Segura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milan Chupao the free kick. In the 60th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Milan Chupao's Valdo Pascua got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 71 minutes, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Tasis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lautaro Puig scored 2-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aloisio Segura, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 87 minutes into the match, Milan Chupao's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Alcocer came free, but Aloisio Segura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Milan Chupao getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Dolfo Candamil hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the game, Axel Tasis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Aloisio Segura was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aloisio Segura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 93rd minute of play. Costa Rica's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
