João Francisco Munhoz's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Francisco Munhoz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Só de Fula F.C.'s João Francisco Munhoz got a free kick in the 6th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nilton Quirino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Espinar to maneuver through the defense. When Milagros Cabal fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Milagros Cabal a yellow card for diving instead. 19 minutes into the game, one of Honduras:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gláuber Senna made in the 27th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lauro de Brito. 29 minutes into the game, Gláuber Senna threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nilton Quirino saved Só de Fula F.C. from getting behind. Nilton Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Só de Fula F.C.'s Nilton Quirino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute of the game Gláuber Senna made a throw-in which Lauro de Brito played forward. Honduras's attentive Christian Sancho managed to snatch the ball when Gláuber Senna made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Só de Fula F.C.'s Nilton Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Matheus Linares came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilton Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Villa in the 56th minute of the match. Nilton Quirino stood somewhat misplaced when Edmundo Espiga came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 62 minute. Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilton Quirino having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Carlos Augusto Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Nilton Quirino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sebastian Villa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 70 minute of play. In the 73rd minute Carlos Augusto Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 77 minutes, Clemente Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Só de Fula F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 80 minutes, Clemente Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Só de Fula F.C. and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Honduras booed when Só de Fula F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Só de Fula F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edmundo Espiga was slow to take the kick. During this time Honduras's players had a chance to rest. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Só de Fula F.C.'s Matheus Linares. But to his dismay, Matheus Linares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3.
