After 2 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Escribano. 12 minutes into the game, Umberto Nunes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jacobo Nores was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Markus Wenerdahl went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markus Wenerdahl in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Markus Wenerdahl had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Markus Wenerdahl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 24th play minutes Markus Wenerdahl shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Jacobo Nores and just under the crossbar into goal. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Alén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Paraguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Pardo went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Jaime Pardo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joel Alén quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, MaLe FC's August Målare got a free kick in the 37th minute. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 minutes, Hector Covarrubias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraguay and the MaLe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Hector Covarrubias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Markus Wenerdahl struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MaLe FC. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pardo made a kick off. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Umberto Nunes went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Raul Venegas's late challenge caught a MaLe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raul Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. The goalkeeper, Jacobo Nores, was totally fooled by MaLe FC's Umberto Nunes, who 54 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Umberto Nunes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. After having played for 60 minutes, Umberto Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MaLe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Umberto Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacobo Nores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hildeberto Passos in the 65th minute. The supporters of Paraguay booed when MaLe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hildeberto Passos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to MaLe FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ante Rebić hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Campos during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Campos to maneuver through the defense. Mats Myr hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After 77 played minutes, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joel Alén came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paraguay reached it. Raul Venegas hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Ante Rebić struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MaLe FC. In the 91st match minute, MaLe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arixo Urbiso to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute of the match Primitivo Escribano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joel Alén showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched MaLe FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
