Emiliano Lucado's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anier Pereyra in the 8th minute of the match. When Jonathan Venegas fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jonathan Venegas a yellow card for diving instead. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After 11 played minutes, A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Anier Pereyra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in A.D Atlético Villa Gesell reached it. Lucas Alario scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute Lucas Alario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruhi Ongay charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruhi Ongay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Severo Elequemedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Lucas Alario nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 45thth minute of the game Lucas Alario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Joshua Secada got a free kick in the 47th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Alario in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Lucas Alario made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Elequemedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severo Elequemedo. Severo Elequemedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Lucas Alario tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 65th minute of play forced A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's goalkeeper Severo Elequemedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Anier Pereyra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Alario in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Lucas Alario. But to his dismay, Lucas Alario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Lucas Alario got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A throw-in in the 79th minute of the game was made by Emiliano Lucado with Lucas Alario as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 81 minutes into the game, Lucas Alario recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Lucas Alario showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. After having played for 85 minutes, Lucas Alario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Alario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Lucas Alario sent off a good shot on target. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Anier Pereyra took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Leon Tono fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's protests and gave Leon Tono a yellow card for diving instead. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for A.D Atlético Villa Gesell! The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
