Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, ÇıLgIn TüRkLeR's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Hulki Özkutlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Hulki Özkutlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hulki Özkutlu having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atahan Durdu in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atahan Durdu in the 19th minute of play. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Alim Mübarek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Acar Özkent recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 32nd minute of play forced ÇıLgIn TüRkLeR's goalkeeper Hulki Özkutlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hulki Özkutlu having to interfere. Atahan Durdu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ÇıLgIn TüRkLeR's Acar Özkent got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Primitivo Andino got a throw-in 44 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Felix Montenegro. Luis Andino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Atahan Durdu was the one to do the kick off. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Hulki Özkutlu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Agustín Saelices showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 68 minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atahan Durdu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hulki Özkutlu. The goal made the score 0-2. After having played for 79 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
