Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lolo Moreno in the 7th minute of play. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Jose Boldu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo ScrugenFC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lolo Moreno in the 11th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Felix Luque got a free kick in the 19th minute. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Lolo Moreno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. After 24 played minutes Deportivo ScrugenFC got a freekick which was hit by Doriva Saldanha. 29 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Doriva Saldanha came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Doriva Saldanha was slow to take the kick. During this time Deportivo ScrugenFC's players had a chance to rest. Jose Boldu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 32nd minute of the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kev Hurtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lolo Moreno took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lolo Moreno in the 42nd minute of play. The Mexico players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo ScrugenFC were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kev Hurtado made a kick off. A collision led to Deportivo ScrugenFC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. José Paulo Silveira hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Lolo Moreno kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dante Lacasa. That made the score 0-3 in the 62 minute of play. Deportivo ScrugenFC made a substitution. Zoil Pequeño replaced Kev Hurtado. Deportivo ScrugenFC made a substitution. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Deportivo ScrugenFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
