The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 曹林林 during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Honduras were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after AFC Ajax's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edmundo Espiga took the corner. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but 孟凌鹏 in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 11th minute of the match, 孔亮铮 tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lautaro Navarro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If 袁源珂 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of AFC Ajax booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Espiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 孟凌鹏 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 31st minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, AFC Ajax's 孔亮铮 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 孔亮铮 hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 孟凌鹏 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, AFC Ajax's 袁源珂 got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 曹林林 hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 孟凌鹏 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Honduras booed when AFC Ajax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. 袁源珂 didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, 孔亮铮 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and 孔亮铮 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 孟凌鹏 saved AFC Ajax from getting behind. 袁源珂 kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 孟凌鹏 having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, 孟凌鹏 successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 孔亮铮, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edmundo Espiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but 孟凌鹏 made a huge save. When Moises Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Tafalla couldn't finish the play. In the 76th minute 孔亮铮 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Villa kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 曹林林 kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If 雷斐桦 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 孔亮铮 in the 88th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AFC Ajax fans cheered their team off the field, for while Honduras had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
